Can a parrot bred in captivity be returned to its wild natural habitat?

No. A parrot learns how to deal with the many challenges in its natural habitat by observing other more experienced parrots. What is safe to eat, which animals to avoid, even how to mate, are all things parrots learn by watching their own kind.  Studies conclude that a parrot bred in captivity has a 1% chance of survival if relocated to its natural habitat.
